I’m getting older. So old that I feel the days ran ahead of me. How could it be that fast?! I’m still halfway remembering what happened in 2017. Maybe because I was busy, or maybe because I’m always occupied of something. Well, let’s see.
- I started the first quarter of the year with travel and I guess it cascaded for the rest of the year. I can say that I was busy with all the planning and preparation for every trip that I blog about it months after.
- I’m proud with these major travels because there’s always a takeaway in both experience and lessons. I learn to prioritize my safety wherever I go. I learn to practice patience with people and that includes myself. 😁 I learn to overcome my fear and shyness. I survived being alone out of the country and I’m happy I made a friend!

- January – Coron, Palawan
- March – Balabac, Palawan (for more or less 12 hours travel)
- July – Chicago, US
- July – New York, US
- December – Seoul, South Korea

- I had a cool-off with Kdrama. Jdrama and Shoujo Live Action Movies ran this year and I went to an emotional roller-coaster. Who would’ve thought those movies can make me cry? Besides, I made time for another activity which is the next bullet.
- Last year’s heartbreak might have come to fruition because my plans of improving myself is finally happening. I came to start focusing on arts. I started painting using watercolor and until I’m satisfied I won’t move to oil painting!
- What happened to fitness? Oh! I signed up for a circuit training membership for 18 mos, but honestly, I haven’t been going there regularly because of my schedule… and of my laziness (I can’t deny).
- I can say this year is all about family. Our lunch out and ‘gala’ became more frequent and I can’t be more excited to have another baby in the family. She’s expected to be born this January. This year we went to Stilts Calatagan Batangas and Tagaytay.
- Having an annual meeting with old friends is not that good, but at least we have it and I’m happy The Greenery Bulacan became our venue.
- Balabac Palawan gave me the island life. For a few days that I stayed here, nature was all I have. It gave me the most memorable sunrise and sunset of my life as of this day.
- First time to push a car – because we need to!
- Almond popcorns, oh yum!!
- First solo trip abroad – New York!
- Made a friend in New York – Brahim! And now I just have to have Morocco on my travel list.
- After 7 years, I met again my high school friend – J!
- Felt depressed this year, maybe it’s still happening, but I know that I can overcome this. I’m just too worried with my life, with my future, with my dreams and for what really that is. I maybe unsuccessful in finding it this year, but I’m getting my grip and holding on to what 2018 can offer me. Hopefully, I’ll find it soon.
- Ended the year at home, in my room, working! 😆 well, this is life.
The year 2017 was a year full of adventure. It gave me a lot of memories that I can take with me as I grow. I hope 2018 will give me more happiness, it may not be full of new things to try, or places to visit, but I hope it can give me courage, happiness and lessons, for it to push me to be a better version of myself, for it to give me confidence, and to give me strength to know and reach my dreams. Thank you 2017! Welcome 2018! 🍷🎆
Cheers!
